Amarya July Box | Honest Opinion

Photobucket

Today I received my first Amarya beauty box. I actually paid for this at the end of May but for some reason due to their cutoff times, I received it today. I did cancel my subscription due to them taking two payments before I ever received a box. For me, this seemed a little off and so I did cancel, however, I am now re-considering subscribing once again.

Unlike other boxes I am happy to announce there was NO fake tan, crappy nail files, tacky mirrors or eyelashes *smiles*

I was a little surprised when I opened the box to find there was not another box in it like Amitee have, basically the box you get in the post is the 'box' open it up and there are recycled shredded paper and 4 items. It did look a little empty and I was taken back thinking gosh, surely this isn't worth it but upon closer inspection, I am more than happy.

Contents:

Inika - Mineral Eyeshadow in 'Honeycomb' | A super light mineral-based eyeshadow that looks like foundation but when you test it out and it hits the skin it turns in to the most gorgeous translucent eyeshadow which resembles crushed pearls and fairy wings. (see below) I would purchase this full price.

REN Moroccan Rose Otto Body Cream | Lovely light rose scent and this body cream is really luxurious and moisturising. I do really like this but not sure if it's one I would purchase full price.

Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream Sachet | I haven't tried this 'yet' but it states that it's a cream to enhance the skins natural hydration. It's scientifically proven to stimulate collagen by up to 59% allowing your skin to repair and heal. Overall not sure if a sachet will show many benefits but I will try it and update you with my review.

REN Photoactive Sun Veil SPF15 | This came in a little tube and states that it protects against UVA and UVB while fighting free radicals, I love that it has these properties as not all skincare contains SPF. I did test this on clean skin and it has a very delicate scent which I can't place. It feels very light and does become quite difficult to smooth in to the skin as it dries very quickly. I do not think that I will purchase full price due to the texture when it dries.

  1. Great review! I just started looking around at some monthly box subscriptions (there's so many!) but hadn't heard of this one. Looks like you got some great goodies :)

  2. Hi Amanda *waves* Absolutely love the box I got. I've been talking to other Amarya subscribers and it seems that they keep their boxes pretty much the same for all subscribers with the only changes being colours and shades. Some of the other boxes give certain customers (or bloggers) the best items and the rest are left with tat. A few have felt like they are paying a sub to provide the others with better boxes which isn't fair. So personally I would recommend Amarya. Keep us updated x
