Burt's Bee's Intense Treatment Mask

Most people have heard of Burt's Bees even if you have yet to try their products. Burt's Bees are known for their natural skincare, especially their lip balms. I've tried most of their products and to be completely honest I've had different experiences with each of them. Some were good and some well, not so great.

This is one of those great ones. The 'Intensive Hydration Mask' it's a product that I have purchased and then repurchased because it's really that good and quite frankly is a whole lot cheaper than my ultimate favourite mask - Glamglow. The mask comes in a 110g squeeze tube and is 99% natural, I adore natural products I really do. I've only had good experiences with natural skincare so I had high hopes for this when I first used it, it can be used in two ways although it's marketed for one.

The first way is to use it like any normal mask. Apply a thick coat, leaving it for at least 15 minutes and then washing it off. The second way is to use it as a cleanser, applying a thin coat in circular motions around the face and then wash off.

So what makes this so good? It's hard to describe exactly what makes this work so well, purely because it sounds too good to be true. Simply put it's a natural but effective product that cleans without stripping the skin while, making my skin look fresher and more youthful. I do notice the difference when I use it and it's especially good for those times when my skin goes on a crazy hormonal bender.

One of the main effective ingredients is Clary Sage. Clary Sage has a delicate herbal-lavender scent which isn't overpowering. It's naturally antibacterial while also being a demulcent. Demulcent acting ingredients tend to soothe the skin while leaving a protective [moisturised] barrier, I've found this to be a great next step after exfoliation.

This product does last a long time. I mean it would literally take months of regular weekly use to get through this. I know I don't tend to use mine every single week *oops* so mine does last longer. If you have sensitive skin, hormonal skin or even skin problems such as dermatitis or eczema then this will work a treat on your skin.
