Benefit The Porefessional

Benefit's POREfessional is one of my favourite Benefit products. I have purchased and re-purchased this quite a few times although this particular one is was a sample. The product is described as a 'PRO balm to minimize the appearance of pores' and it does exactly that to be fair.

The packaging is super cute also isn't it. It was initially the packaging - well the colours that drew me in initially; I love the retro feel to whole design and I do admit that this sits pride of place on my dressing table alongside my other goodies.

This isn't a foundation, it isn't a BB or CC cream and it isn't a concealer. It's definitely a tough product to describe but the only way I can is to say it's like a silky-balmy Polyfiller for the skin. It smoothes itself over any lumps and bumps leaving you with airbrushed moisturised balmy skin. No tide marks, no dry patches and nothing to blend - it's awesome.

Over on the Benefit Cosmetics website this is described as a 'primer' but it's really so much more than that. The picture on the left is the product, yes it's slightly tinted but this doesn't transfer at all to the skin once blended.

The picture on the right is the product blended into the skin in the same spot. It's hard to tell from the picture but you can note the difference, on the left hand side of my hand there are little pore craters (circles) on the right these are smooth and almost filled. It's really much more evident in person, especially around the nose and chin area.

As well as leaving you with a completely awesome base for applying your cosmetics this is also a great eyelid primer. If you're a mineral makeup fan then this is really going to make your minerals pop! I can't really find any flaws with this, it's going to suit all skin tones, types and needs to be honest.

This product costs £24.50 and it's available over on the Benefit website HERE and at the in store counters.
