Review | Does Colour B4 Hair Colour Remover Work?

I'm guessing most people have heard about Colour B4, If you haven't Colour B4 is a product that fixes any hair oops moments by stripping the colour away. Say for example you dyed your hair a lovely shade of chestnut brown only for it to turn your hair a ghastly shade of tangerine! normally you would have to either take a trip to the hairdressers at a huge cost or re-dye it and then be left with frazzled hair. Now you can apply Colour B4 and that lovely shade of tangerine will be no more.

When you think of hair 'strippers' it brings fear into the hearts of those with already dried and frazzled locks and in my opinion hair stripping was something I could only dream about as it would have ruined my locks for sure. I heard about Colour B4 when watching TV one day and did think 'surely it can't be that good'.

Here is what Colour B4 say about the product:

  • Colour B4 shrinks the artificial dye molecules in the hair, enabling you to simply wash them away.
  • What’s more Colour B4 does not touch your natural hair pigment so you are left with the colour which lay beneath your artificial shade
  • Colour B4 takes you back to your lightest shade.
  • It will return your hair to its natural colour if the artificial hair colour applied is darker than your natural level.

So still a bit dubious I went on the hunt for reviews and watched a few in action videos from YouTube. Not at any point did I find any reviews claiming it ruined their hair so off I headed to my local Boots. Boots stock the Colour B4 normal which costs £9.99 and Colour B4 extra strength which costs £11.99.

Unfortunately, they didn't have the extra strength and being impatient I purchased the normal version. Once home I got ready to strip. *, unfortunately, the other half was disappointed when he found out my version of stripping wasn't the same as his*

The product is easy to follow simply mix the products and add to the hair just as you would a hair dye. You leave it on for around 30 minutes and then you wash, wash and wash again just to doubly make sure you wash away those colour molecules. While the product is doing its thing I do have to tell you that it can get a bit eggy smelling but rest assured once you have washed with their gorgeous berry scented hair wash with the pack which reminds me of Ribena Summer Berry cordial and your hair has dried the eggy scent will disappear.

While it was doing it's the thing I so nervous in case it didn't work on my hair but let me assure you IT DID! *happy dance* It took my multi-coloured hair from a murky red-brown shade to a lovely soft shade of light brown. No red tones and no patchy sections left in my hair. Normally my hair can get quite dry but after washing it as many times as I did (at least 4 times to make sure) adding no conditioner and having the Colour B4 product on my hair for 30 minutes my hair was actually super soft! Incredible things going on that I can only put down to a dose of magic.

So like many others who have used Colour B4, I for sure am joining the bandwagon in saying it is wonderful! If you want to give your coloured hair a break and get back to a healthy natural colour then head to the shops and purchase Colour B4 today.

Have you tried Colour B4? What was your opinion of the product?
