Souk Souk | May Box Review

My Souk Souk green beauty box landed on my doorstep the other day, this is my first beauty box with this company. I love the green concept as you guys know how important good skincare is to me and Souk Souk promises to offer 'green and clean' products.

Having tried all of the beauty boxes (well nearly all of them) I am critical, having tried amazing boxes such as those from Birchbox and, terrible boxes from Glossybox It's fair to say most boxes are hit or miss. I look for reliable customer service, a company that keeps it promises and treats all customers with equal respect as well as offering great products. Some beauty boxes offer cheap tat that you can get for free yourself, others offer boxes that contain products that are way more than what the box is worth (yay). You can guess which type of box I prefer.

I received....

30ml Green People Moisturising Shower Gel  £4.50 // Orange blossom, yucca, and marshmallow. Suitable for sensitive skins, eczema, and psoriasis. This has a definite citrus herbal scent which is suitable for all of the family. The trial sizes seem to cost £4.50 whereas the 200 ml costs £10.95 if you're looking to save pennies I'd advise purchasing the larger 200 ml.

30ml Green People Nurture Body Lotion £4.50 // Hydrating lotion with perilla, evening primrose, Shea butter, and bergamot. Suitable for normal to dry skins. Again this product costs £4.50 for the trial and £18.95 for the 200 ml, I personally think this is expensive and although this is a nice cream it didn't moisturise my skin enough to warrant the rrp.

Dr Bronner's Magic Soap 18-in-1 Hemp Rose £2.99 // Multi-use fairly traded soap can be used in 18 different ways. This smells delicate and having previously tried the citrus soap, I much prefer this scent. You can literally use it for everything from body care, to cleaning your home, dog, car and more.

Inika Eyebrow Pencil - Full Size  £13.50 // Mineral-based pencil contains organic ingredients and is vegan and cruelty-free. I am a huge fan of Inika and I do have a few of their eyeliners and loose pigments

Balm Balm Lip Balm - Full-Size £3.50 // Organic and natural lip balm. I received the rose geranium which smells gorgeous, this can also be used for other skin problems such as dry patches, eyebrows, cuts, and bruises. It's I suppose similar to the many healing balms on the market but so much prettier.

The cost of the Souk Souk box individually would have been £28. You are basically saving a whopping £16!  You can subscribe for 1 - 3 months at £12 per month or, you can save money overall by opting for the 6 months reducing your box down to £10 per month. There are no contracts or ties either with Souk Souk.
