Another September launch this time from Bourjois. I love Bourjois - I always have and always will do. It's really stood the tests of time remaining a firm favourite across the world. Bourjois are releasing a Souvenir de la Poudre de Riz de Java, this product was and is a classic Bourjois product way back in the 19th century.
Bourjois Java Rice Powder was originally offered to consumers in four shades - White, pink, natural and Rachel. By 1914 there had been 2.5 million powders sold. Clearly, something must be awesome about this and I can totally understand why Bourjois would re-release this firm favourite for it's the 150th anniversary.
Here's a quick glimpse into what the adverts would have looked like way back when it was originally sold.
Souvenir de la Poudre de Riz de Java simply put means 'Memory of Java Rice Powder' this time around however the packaging is slightly different as it's no longer dark green. The pink packaging brings it right up to date and looks vintage but pretty at the same time. The powder features a slight pink tone that leaves the skin looking illuminated and radiant.
What do you make of this vintage tin? amazing isn't it. I love looking at vintage trinkets.
In addition to the powder, Bourjois is also releasing a Blush Exclusive (£7.99) which leaves a customised pink glow to the cheeks. They are also releasing a new Smokey Eye Trio in pink shades. Once released the powder will cost £9.99 and can be found in the usual places as well as the Bourjois website HERE.
