Mark Hill // MiracOILicious Moroccan Argan Oil

Mark Hill is a world-renowned celebrity hair stylist, having styled the hair of Tess Daley, Mylene Klass and Fearne Cotton. I had heard of Mark Hill hair care before but hadn't tried it, no reason really other than it was only stocked in the larger stores which are further afield for me to travel and having a pea-brain I tend to forget what I'm looking for when out.

I was recently asked to test out the latest hair oil by Mark Hill and I agreed fully. I had been looking at hair oils ironically that week as my favourite L'Oreal Mythic Oil had started to make my hair look disgusting and limp. I decided I needed a change but my worry was that other oils would do the same. Currently, I'm trying to improve myself, that includes my hair, skincare, fitness and even my eyelashes. I'm trying to give my body some TLC because if the ground works not done there's no amount of makeup that's going to improve the situation.

The MiracOILicious Moroccan Argan Oil comes in a handy pump container, I've found other brands opt for the tip method which puts me off. I'm typically a clumsy woman so tipping oils is never going to be a good thing. The MiracOILicious's aims are to repair and hydrate your hair so if you have frazzled, coloured and heat damaged hair then this is for you especially. Hair oils are good for all hair types however and work in a similar way as moisturisers to the skin.

This particular oil contains Moroccan Argan Oil which is huge right now simply because it's an excellent hair and skin care ingredient. It also contains Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot, Sandalwood, Cedar, Sage, Spearmint, Castor, Palmarosa, Orange, Patchouli, Davana, Clove and White Birch oils.

You would presume from that hefty list that it's going to really smell fragranced and perfume like wouldn't you? I actually didn't smell anything at all. The oil's a lovely golden colour and you simply pump a small amount (I used a 5p -10p sized amount) into the palms of your hands, rub your hands together and then apply to the areas that need it.

I apply it every night after washing my hair, once it's still warm so the oils can really penetrate the hair and work its magic. I've found a real difference with this product even from the first use, my hair no longer looks limp and as though it's not been washed right. In the morning it's soft, manageable and bouncy and my hair's never like that...ever! I also have a gorgeous shine to my hair and if you know me in person you will know that shine is something I aim for. The last time I had shine was when I was pregnant seven years ago.

As you can guess I do fully recommend this product. I found nothing that I could fault or nit-pick at. The packaging makes application easy, the product works and it works really well and the price is affordable and value for money. What I would advise is that after you apply the product to your hair, instead of washing the oil off your hands simply take some moisturiser, rub your hands together and apply to your body and tootsies. This provides you with some extra moisture and your hands benefit too - You won't be left with greasy hands either so it's a win-win.

This product costs £9.99 and is available to purchase from Boots HERE or also in your local store.

  1. I think chemical products are responsible for human's health. When people are now choosing natural substance beauty products from Argan oil. Is that necessary and what kind value those products?

  2. The basic ingredient in products like these along with the Josie Maran ones is just argan oil. You can argan oil cheap if you buy it from a place that sells just pure argan oil. When you're buying these fancy labelled products you are just paying for the brand when the sole ingredient is just argan oil.
