A lot of you know that I love to smile. I’m generally a happy person, and I like to think that comes across when I smile. I also love the power of a smile. If you smile at someone, they can’t help but smile back. I hope that makes the feel pretty good about themselves and they go on to have an awesome day. But what if you don’t like your smile? What if you are self-conscious about it?
Looking after your smile takes just a few minutes out of your day every day. And it’s definitely worth doing in this age of social media and selfies. You can easily fit these simple tips and tricks in. And who knows? Maybe you’ll even enjoy smiling. Smiling releases happy hormones after all.
Start with your teeth. Investing in their care is certainly worth the spend. If you check out the toothbrush man website, you will find plenty of reviews for the different brushes you can buy these days. You might be surprised at the level of oral care some of these brushes provide. For pearly whites, it’s best to brush at least twice a day. You can choose a whitening toothpaste or a gentle home whitener without needing to spend too much money.
If you’re worried that you are starting to look a little older, then smiling can help. You may think that the laughter lines around your eyes and the dimples around your mouth age you. But they are a part of your smile, and probably the very things that make it so attractive. You can do a fair bit to your face to help it look younger. But don’t avoid smiling!
Keep your skin supple and elastic with a good moisturiser. Cleanse and tone twice a day. Then you can apply a day cream under your foundation in the morning. In the evening, choose a good night cream that is right for your age group. This will help to keep your skin looking good and feeling firm and smooth. Your lips need the same amount of care. A lip balm can help prevent them from drying out, so they look super lush when you smile.
Lip gloss also looks good when we smile. I know some of you aren’t keen to wear much of it, but it can help create a dazzling smile. Why not try a nude shade with a hint of gloss just to boost your natural beauty? A little eye makeup can help highlight how gorgeous your eyes look when you smile. Use a shade that contrasts well with your eye colour.
Your eyebrows are also a big part of your smile. Fake smiles see little movement in the eyebrow, but genuine happiness sees the move up. Keep your eyebrows in good condition with a brow brush and brow mascara this season. Don’t hunch your shoulders. Instead, relax… and smile.
Smiling is a big part of my day when I’m out and about. It helps people feel at ease with me, and I love it when someone smiles back.
