Weddings are always special events. They are a chance for family and friends to celebrate with their loved ones on one of the most special days of their lives. It is a chance for two families to come together and become one big, happy family — just for one day and night. They are always special, joyful events. But, unfortunately, they aren’t always as memorable for guests as the bride and groom would hope. Unfortunately, some weddings only live long in the memory of those that got actually got married, and not those that attended. This is not the guests being rude, this is just because of the fact that weddings are such frequent events to attend — especially for those in their late twenties to early thirties. There are ways to make weddings stand out for guests, however. A few of these ways can be found below.
First of all, if you are thinking about how you can make your wedding stand out, then you have to consider jetting off and getting married abroad. Nothing makes a wedding live long in the memory more than geographically place marking it. This is because of the simple fact that it helps guests differentiate it from others that they attend. ‘Oh, yeah, Sally and Harry’s wedding was the one in Italy. That was a good one,’ is what people would be saying about Sally and Harry’s wedding for years to come if the two did, in fact, get married in any only of Italy’s wedding hotspots. This is because of the fact that getting hitched in a certain place and making that the focal point of the ceremonies and celebrations makes the wedding easy to be remembered.
But, if you really don’t want to jet off, you don’t have to. It is possible to host a memorable wedding in your hometown, you just have to be willing to go the extra mile. One way to do this is by providing your guests with an atmosphere that is unforgettable. And one way to do this is to set up a luxury marquee, such as those provided by Lewis Marquees - Luxury Marquees, on the site in which you get married. By doing this you will be providing your guests with something memorable, as your average wedding wouldn’t provide such a luxury. And when you provide your guests with something as memorable as that, you give your wedding the best chance possible of living longer in the memory than most others.
But you can’t just make a big show of your wedding and leave it at that. No, you still need to attend to the little things. You still need to provide your guests with a wedding that is adorned in personal touches. This is another way to make a wedding stand out as it gives you a chance to do something no other wedding would do. For instance, if you and the other half were both car fanatics then you could name each table after some of both of your favourite motors (or your favourite Top Gear presenters). This would then make your wedding stand out in the memory as it is something that is unlikely to be recreated in any other wedding your guests attend.
You have to realise that just because your special day means everything to you, it doesn’t mean it means everything to your guests. You have to remember that just because your wedding will forever be etched in your memory, it doesn’t mean it will be forever etched in your guests’ memories. For this reason, if you truly want your wedding to live long in the memory of everyone that attends it, you have to be willing to go the extra mile.
