Beauty | Mistakes Men Probably Make

Being a well-groomed man is not only about carrying out your grooming rituals to full effect, but it is about staying away from tragic mistakes too. In fact, a lot of men are making grooming mistakes without even realising it.

Are you one of these men? Let’s find out…
Getting stuck in a grooming rut – This is something that a lot of men will be able to relate to. Do you feel like you have been following the same grooming routine all of your life? If so, it is time for a change. But, where can you make that change? Well, are you someone that has incorporated hair gel into his routine for many years? If so, this is a good place to start. While there is nothing wrong with hair gel, it has a rather dated feel. You can use many different products nowadays to achieve a stronghold look while leaving your hair appearing more natural.
Threading your eyebrows – Once you start threading your eyebrows, you end up on a slippery slope. It is fine to shape your eyebrows and to pluck stray hairs here and there, but no woman wants a man that has better eyebrows than her.
Not embracing your grey hair – There are a lot of men that are choosing to go grey nowadays. It’s become a massive hit! However, there are still those who feel uncomfortable with the grey hairs that are appearing, and they use hair colour to try and hide it. Embrace your silver fox!
Taking your grooming routine to the extreme – While it is recommended that you moisturise and use a good facial cleanser, you don’t need to have a night cream, nor do you need to have an eye cream or get your teeth whitened.
Hair over or in the ears – Does your hair curl around your ears and stick into them? If so, you need a haircut. Alternatively, you can use a little bit of product to help it create a nice curve around the ears or to slick it back.
Wearing too much aftershave – Have you ever heard the saying that you can have too much of a good thing? Well, this is certainly the case when it comes to aftershave. You only need two or three sprays at your pulse points, i.e. behind your ears and your wrists. Anything more than this can be overpowering.
Dry shaving – Last but not least, investing in quality shaving products is a must. You should never simply dry shave either, as this can cause a shave that is not as close as it should be, as well as ingrown hairs and razor burn, which is never a good look.
If you are making any of the mistakes that have been mentioned above, it is time to make some changes to your grooming routine. Follow the advice that has been provided and you are bound to notice a difference – for the better!
