Get a head start by getting organised the night before.
We often spend a huge chunk of the morning choosing an outfit, packing a lunch and trying to remember where we left our gym bag. Take a few moments the night before to put everything together in one spot so, in the morning, you are ready to grab your stuff and get going.
Reconsider your alarm
No one enjoys waking up to the sound of a blaring, beeping alarm. Instead, choose a less startling sound to play. Better still, sleep with the blinds slightly open so that a small amount of sunlight can filter in and assist you in waking up naturally in the morning.
You could also invest in smart blinds, which you can program to open at a certain time.
Have a good stretch before you get out of bed
Consider taking a few minutes to stretch everything before getting out of bed. Raise your legs in front of you and sit up straight. Fold over as far as you can and extend your arms as far as you can, keeping your neck as low as possible.
Hold for ten seconds, breathing and exhaling deeply for the entire time period. Alternate legs and repeat the process to loosen up your joints and muscles.
Spend some time meditating to clear your mind ready to focus on the day ahead
It is tempting to begin thinking about your to-do list the moment you open your eyes in the morning. Choose instead to take a few deep breaths after stretching and guide yourself through a meditation program. As a result, you will be more relaxed when you get up in the morning.
Take a shower
Despite the fact that some individuals prefer to shower at night in order to save time in the morning, a fast rinse in warm water can assist to ease any tense muscles and leave you feeling rejuvenated for the next day. Infuse your senses with a citrus-scented body wash to awaken your senses and help you to clear your head of the fog.
Get ready calmly
You have probably seen a lot of women in their vehicles scribbling on their eyeliner and holding their mascara wands with their mouths wide open while doing their make-up look. It's stressful enough just watching them!
Preparing for the day should be a time for nurturing yourself rather than regarding it as another task. Allow yourself to spend a few additional minutes brushing your hair or applying makeup instead of hurrying through it all.
Do something inspiring
Reading, journaling, or repeating your favourite mantra are all good ways to start your day. It does not have to be complicated or take up a lot of time to get started.
Simply said, anything you do should put you in a good mood and get your creative juices flowing before you begin your day's activities.
