The Easy Way to Look After Your Health

Life can sometimes feel like a whirlwind, with very little time to put yourself first. While most put their health and well-being at the forefront of most life goals, it's typically the last thing that we actually pay attention to. But there are ways to integrate your health and well-being into your daily schedule without it putting too much pressure on your other commitments - h
ere are some simple things you can try.

Avoid Sugar

Sugar is a carbohydrate that the body uses for energy; it's one of the energy sources that are easy for the body to burn naturally depending on the type of sugar ingested - not all sugar is as good or bad as it seems which can be difficult to understand, therefore, consuming bad sugars in large amounts coupled with other nutritional co-factors can lead to weight gain as the body holds onto the sugar source rather than burning it which over time puts pressure on the body and its overall function.

One of the easiest things you can do to keep your body healthy is to avoid sugar where possible although tracking your food and drink intake may make it easier to understand which foods and drinks are marketed as ''healthy'' but contain larger amounts of hidden nasties. Education is key to understanding the marketing around food but until then, reducing and excluding sugars may be easier.

Eat Nuts and Seeds

Nuts and seeds are high in calories which is why most people avoid them, but if you include these wholesome and nutritious food sources in your diet, you can lose weight and improve your general health. They might be calorie-rich, but eating nuts during the day will help to fuel your digestion and overall body function.

Nuts and seeds are nutritionally diverse - they contain fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals. They aid in the digestion of other vitamins and minerals also as a co-factor as the fat content helps to transport water-soluble vitamins and minerals that would otherwise have been malabsorbed and excreted.  For tiny little powerhouses, they contain large amounts of beneficial nutritional components and can be very easy to implement into a diet.

Active Living

Leading a healthy life is relatively easy once you find a routine that works with your diary and focuses on diet and exercise. A balanced combination of these supports a healthy body, healthy mindset, and healthy spirit.  Finding the right amount of activity and exercise time also will help you find a routine that works, so, if you can't exercise every day for one hour, try adding little amounts of exercise in five or ten-minute bursts throughout the day, a little is better than none and as your mindset improves, your exercise will follow.

Maybe try and do one set of squats as your brush your teeth, job on the spot as the adverts to your favourite TV show are on, or set a target for completing x amount of x exercise as the dinner is cooking, or while the children are at school or nursery. There are alternatives to going to a gym but again, if the gym is preferred, try changing up the times or days that you attend so you don't get bored.

Online Pharmacy

Need medicine at short notice?

There is nothing worse than suddenly realising you have run out of your supply of multivitamins or medications. Visiting the Online Pharmacy eases some of that stress especially if you are pushed for time, there is a large selection of medications and health products to browse and select saving you time and stress.

There are products to support the health of your entire family by browsing online pharmacies - growing up online chemists were not an option, you'd have to trail for ages, wait in a huge queue then find what you needed wasn't available - thankfully medical and health services have improved vastly to incorporate into the modern life as they get busier.

Stay Hydrated

Water accounts for around 60% of the body’s weight, and it’s central to many of the body’s key functions, yet, we barely take in the minimum requirements for rehydrating our bodies.

Drinking more water supports your body but many don't. Fizzy juice, liquid milkshakes, and bottled water even all add to our liquid intake but not our water requirements as they don't contain enough molecules to hydrate or are deficient in minerals and salts required for adequate ph balance.

Drink more water, I'd recommend adding a pinch of rock salt, pink salt or rehydration salts to your bottled water, a little goes a long way and I promise you cannot taste it.
